What are the rules for creating a matrimonial profile ?
While creating a matrimonial profile:
- Provide only accurate information about the candidate.
- Try to fill each and every field in the profile correctly and accurately.
- Include valid phone numbers and Email ID. Verify all details before submitting.
Can I choose my own User ID?
If you are creating a free matrimonial profile, you can choose your own User ID for your profile submission. But once you become a paid member your old matrimonial User ID will be transformed into a unique user ID. You cannot choose your own User ID in such a case.
Why does it take 24 hrs for free membership verification?
Verification of profile is done manually. Our support team checks each and every profile carefully for any invalid or incorrect information.All candidates are contacted over the phone for confirmation of details and authenticity. Once the process is completed, an E-mail would be sent to you. Hence, it takes 24 working hours to activate all the profiles that are being added in one particular day.
What information will be displayed to members from my matrimonial profile?
Free members can view all your details except Family Details and Contact Details. Paid members can view all your details including telephone number and address. Your e-mail ID will not be visible to any member, be it free or paid. It is only for us to get in touch with you. However, you can contact members by sending personalized messages.

All details entered by you are closely scrutinized. We categorically ignore profiles that are submitted by underage persons, and profiles that contain abusive content. We stand to serve only those members who are serious about marriage and make use of the service.
Can a free member send personalized messages to another member?
No. Only Paid Members can send personalized messages. However, Free Members can send a pre-defined message expressing interest to a member.
Also if a Paid member contacts you, their message will be sent to your email ID and it will be stored in your "Intrest Received" page.
Is there a limit on the number of messages a free member can send a day?
Yes, there is a limit specified for sending pre-defined messages per day by a free member. A Free member can send a maximum of five messages per day.
What are the details an interested member is allowed to view in a profile?
Paid members can view all details including your family & contact details but a free member can view only your basic details.
How to extend the validity period of a free membership?
By upgrading your free membership to paid membership for coninue to access your matrimony profile for one year from the date of activation, or up to the marriage . If you are not upgrading your profile, it will be visible to other paid members for an extended period of three month. During this period, you can upgrade your matrimonial profile to

I have created my profile for few days before, till it not yet activated. What is the reason?
We are only activating profile after strict manual verification. Our executive will call your given profile telephone numbers for verification. If no one is attending our call or it is invalid number, your profile will not be activated. In this case you can contact us for activation.

Why am I still a Free Member even after made payment?
Your free matrimonial profile will be upgraded within one working hour after receiving payment. We will manually verify your profile through your given telephone number (anywhere in the world). You could have received these messages due to any of the below reasons.

For Eg. it should be CEKM123456 not CEKM 1234 56.
- Do not try to login with your email ID.
- After upgrading profile, you must enter your new user Id and password to login to your account.
I forgot my User ID / Password. What should I do?

Password link in the page, (just near to member login) provide your matrimonial
User Id OR Email ID .You will receive a personal mail intimating your
matrimonial login informations. If you have forgetten your User Id and Email ID please feel free to contact us .
Why is the message "Sorry! Your Membership is Expired/Invalid." being displayed when I try to login?
A free membership is available only for a limited period of 30 days and when a user crosses this time period, the membership expires. You can upgrade your membership to a paid membership and continue to access our matrimonial services.
If I enter correct user Id and password but system can’t login, what should I do?
The reason for this could be related to your Internet Browser. Your browser seems to be saving old content and is not refreshing the content.
If you are using Internet Explorer, please try the following to resolve your problem:
- Click on 'Tools' in the top menu.
- Choose 'Internet Options' from the drop down menu.
- Press the 'Delete files' button and ‘Delete Cookies’ button that appears in the window.

There is a limit to the number of profiles [contact details] you are allowed (Paid Members) to view each day (24 Hours). To view more profiles per day, contact our customer care team

Can I search profiles of the same gender?
No, you are allowed to search profiles of opposite gender only.
I am a Non-member, How do I view a particular member profile?
Enter the matrimonial User ID/Reg.No of the profile, on the " Search by ID "section of the home page. The profile details will be displayed.
I get an error message "No matching records found" while searching for the profiles. Why is it so?
Please check your search criteria when you receive this message. If you are searching for particular narrow categories, try to broaden your search.
How do I send personalized messages to the other members?
All paid members can send personalized messages. After opening the candidate’s profile, the user should click on the "Send Message” tab to send a personalized message to the other member, expressing your interest.
How will I know if a member has accepted/declined to my interest?
You will be notified via email if the member accepts/declines to your interest. You can also be informed of this by logging into your 'My Page' which allows you to view how many members have accepted/declined your Interest.
How can a free member view the response message from other members trying to contact him/her?
Messages will be instantly sent to your “Interest Received" page and to your Email ID.
Can I "Decline" a member's interest which I have already accepted?
Yes, you can "Decline" a member's interest, which you have earlier accepted.
Is it possible to accept a declined interest?
Yes, it is possible to accept a declined interest.
How can I view the members to whom I have sent a message?
You could view all the members to whom you have sent message and their response under “Interests Sent” Page.

No. As a non-member you can only search a few profiles but to contact them, you have to have a membership in chavaramatrimony.com.
What are the different modes of payment?
You can make online payments through credit card/debit card and net banking. Anywhere Banking and Money Exchange are easy ways to transfer funds to us. You can also send in the payment to any of our branch offices, through cash, cheque or DD/MO. Payments should be sent in local currency only.

Make sure you enter the correct credit/debit card details and billing address. If you continue having problems, please call and confirm with your bank about your card issues. How long does it take to upgrade my profile if I have made the payment by Cheque/DD through post or courier?
Your profile will be upgraded once we receive the payment. If you have made the payment and if still your profile is not upgraded, kindly contact us along with your payment details.
Why am I still a Free Member even after making the payment?
Your free matrimonial profile will be upgraded within one working hour after receiving payment. We will manually verify your profile through your given telephone numbers (anywhere in the world). Your profile will be upgraded on successful verification of your credentials. You will then receive a confirmation mail with your new login information.
How many photos can I add?
You can add up to five photos in your profile - One main photo and four album photos. The maximum size allowed per photo is 2 MB.

- Click on the "My Photo" menu.
- Click the 'Browse' button and select the main photo first.
- (Photo should be in .jpg/.gif or .BMP format)
- click 'Upload Photo'.
- Crop your photo as required to show the image appropriately.
- After uploading ‘Main Photo’ you can also add ‘Album Photos’ repeating the above steps.
How do I crop photos?

What is photo validation process?
Every photo inserted on our website involves a manual screening. We allow it to be displayed only on the basis of its adherance our terms and conditions. The turnaround time for validation is 24 working hours. Only after the photo is validated will it be available for all members to see.
What are the other ways to add photos?
You can attach and mail your photo to: photos@chavaramatrimony.com with your User Id and Password. If you do not have a digital (scanned) photo, visit any of our branch offices and submit your photo directly.
How do I protect my photo?
Photo protection is an option to hide your photo from others. You can protect your photo with a Password and only those members with whom you share your Password can view your photo. Go to “My photo” page and activate/deactivate this option.
After making a photo request, how will I view the photo of the candidate?
If your photo request is accepted, they will upload it to their profile and then you can view it in their profile.
How do I modify/update my profile?
To modify/update your profile contents
- Login using your matrimonial "User ID" and "Password"
- On the "My Page" page and Click on sub menu "Change Password".
- You can modify the profile contents that are displayed and confirm it by Clicking on the 'Submit' button.
- The following fields are only updated after our verification. Name, Gender, Age, Marital Status, Denomination, Height, Father & Mother Name and Residence Phone no.
Are there any restrictions on updations?

How can I change my password?
- Login using your matrimonial "User ID" and "Password"
- On the "My Page" page Click on "Privacy Settings".
- Enter your current password and type your new password and confirm the same. Click on "Change Password" button.
- Your Password must have a minimum of 4 characters and maximum 15 characters. It is better to choose an alphanumeric Password. E.g.: Test1234.
- Your new password will be immediately activated. Please use the new password the next time you login.
How do I delete my profile?
- Login using your matrimonial "User ID" and "Password".
- On the "My Page" page click on "Delete My Profile" and choose the reason for deletion.
- Click on the "Submit" button. Your profile will be immediately deleted.
- If you found your life-partner through our services then please submit your wedding photo to us. This will be included in our monthly magazine and website success stories.
Is it possible to restore a deleted profile?
The profile once deleted from our database cannot be restored /reactivated.
How will my profile be viewed by others?
Free members can view all your details except your Family Details & contact details. Paid members can view all your details including telephone number.
I have received wrong matching profiles to my email, how can I correct it?
- Login with your userId and password.
- Click 'view & edit my profile' and then click “Edit” button on Requirements section.
- After completing updations, click “Submit” button.
I have received a photo password from other member, how to view the photograph?
Enter the user id to member search and click the photo (password protected). After opening a new window, you can enter the photo password to view that candidate photo.
What is a “Notification”?
Notifications are information related to a candidate’s profile. i.e If you have received a message from a candidate or you have already visited his/her profile, you can get this information through your notifications.
How do I block a profile?
- Login using your matrimonial "User ID" and "Password".
- After opening candidate primary details, click on the link “Block Profile” under privacy features.
- All blocked profiles are displayed under the “list” page and you can remove block at any time.
Can I register for any of my siblings/friends with the same matrimonial User ID?
The User ID identifies each person uniquely. Please register separate profiles for you and your sibling/friend.
Why am I not receiving email alerts to my mail box?
Confirm whether any email ID has been added in your profile.
If already added, examine whether it is correct. Check your mail for spam/bulk folder.Incase emails from us are directed to your spam folder,click "Not Spam" in your inbox/mail option.
How do I bookmark profiles?
- Login using your matrimonial "User ID" and "Password".
- After opening candidate profile, click on the link “Add to bookmark List” and enter the comment for future references.

Can a free member chat with others?
No. only paid members are allowed to chat with other paid members.
How do I know who is online?
After login, click on the ‘Search’ link on top of the page and choose ‘who is Online’ search. You can search from the list of members online and chat with them. How to accept a chat Request?

Chavara Family News Magazine consists of basic details and photograph of each candidate registered in Chavara Matrimony.com with in the previous month. Chavara Family News Magazine is published monthly and this will be sent to all paid members on 7th & 8th of every month through Business Post of Indian Postal Department.
I haven't received this month's chavara family news magazine, what do I do?
Usually the magazine posting date is on 7th & 8th of every month. However, if it fails to reach you after 20th of that particular month, kindly take the following steps:-
(1) Kindly contact your local post office and confirm the non – receipt of the magazine
(2) On receiving your confirmation from the local post office you may contact us for registering your complaint between 20th & 25th of the same month. Complaints received after 25th, the delivery of the magazine depends up on the availability only.
What are the conditions required to publish a candidate’s details in Chavara Family News Magazine?
Chavara Family News Magazine includes only the details of paid members.The data will be published only once in the magazine.We only include the magazine updations received before 10th of every month.Your profile must have a minimum of one photograph.
Can I publish my photo once again in the monthly magazine?
Yes, you can publish your photograph again at two ways, one is ordinary insertion and the other is premium profile. Extra charges are applicable for these insertions.
